I meet the client in the park or the oceanfront (Mt. Trashmore, first landing state park, boardwalk, etc.)
Walk and talk therapy is very similar to traditional therapy. Bringing a little bit of movement can benefit the counseling session. It works well for the clients that are naturally drawn to being outside. There are many different benefits in combining therapy and exercise.
This session can be done anywhere where there is internet access. Using a HIPAA compliant platform, most clients report that it saves them time and they do not need to travel. Clients said they had some reservations with online counseling at first, but then they felt more comfortable with it.
